Mid-year FAQs

Latest answers to common questions about studying in Semester 2 and beyond.

  • Much the same as Semester 1 actually. With Western Australia's strong record on controlling the spread of COVID 19, campus life has almost returned to normal.

Of course, we don’t take anything for granted and we ask everyone who attends a campus to observe safe practices around hand hygiene, location scanning and social distancing.

Capacity requirements for on-campus venues continue to be dependent on advice from the WA and Federal Governments. Our website has the latest COVID information for students.

  • Scroll to the Courses section to find full-time and part-time courses available for Semester 2 start. It's most of the courses we offer in Semester 1.

Part-time courses available for mid-year entry

In the Courses section, open one of the eight study areas and you'll see a list of courses offered, including some that display 'PT', meaning part-time. Part-time study means enrolling in one or two units maximum per semester.

  • We encourage students to apply as soon as possible so they don't miss out on places, especially for popular courses that can be over-subscribed. Applying and accepting an offer is also best done before your Orientation Week starts on 18 July.

For closing dates and times, check our Important Dates page.

  • Semester 2 will commence on Monday 25 July. All new students will be asked to participate in an on-campus or online Orientation program, starting on 18 July.

Orientation Week (O Week) helps you prepare for uni life, including understanding more about the course you've enrolled in, what systems you'll be using as a student, and even getting to know some of your new peers.

O Week activities are designed for domestic, international and online students.
